Unfortunately the season has come to a sudden end at Dukeshouse, This was due to essential maintenance taking place and 80 ton of grass seed and sand spread across the site. This also means that as well as club fixtures we will not be able to host any of the NFA West Division Cup Finals which were due to take place over the next couple of weeks. We hope to have the pitches in operation again in six to eight weeks

Excellent result from our under 14’s in the Pinpoint Recruitment League Cup Final against Red House Farm. Some great football was played and a goal each from Tom Quibel and Sam Mannion was enough to take the trophy 2-1.
Well Done to Everyone
The Northumberland FA is delighted to support the work of Cramlington United FC and the Teenage Cancer Trust in their new partnership which will certainly help in the continued fight against cancer. On Friday 27th April 2012, Cramlington United FC and the Teenage Cancer Trust launched a UK first partnership between a Grassroots Football Club and a major national charity.
The event was well attended by local dignitaries, local and national businesses, current Cramlington United partners, players and staff and of course the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Jonathan Buck, Chairman of Cramlington United FC, goes on to say; “This is a major commitment by this Club, a partnership with the Teenage Cancer Trust is a big step forward in the Club’s progression and development, and one which we should all be proud of. At the same time if we also have an opportunity to raise money, raise awareness and help to improve the lives of young people with cancer then that’s what we should do”.
This is certainly a philosophy which is shared by the Teenage Cancer Trust, in what promises to be another step in the development of this remarkable Community Football Club
Hexham Whites Played Stocksfield at Newburn on Saturday in the Presidents Cup Final. Hexham took an early lead with a cross from Calum Armstrong finding the head of Logan Fawcett to score his first ever headed goal. Stocksfield hit back after the break with another headed goal this time from a corner. Stocksfield then took the lead from a scramble in the box after a free kick. Hexham hit back late on with a Will Scott corner finding the head of Calum Armstrong to find the back of the net with the 3rd headed goal of the game, to make it 2-2 and to take the game into extra time and Golden Goal. Hexham came closest to winning the game with Will Scott having a raking shot saved by the in form Stocksfield keeper. The game then went to penalties with Stocksfield winning 4-2 after two saves by their keeper
Congratulations to senior team coach Jordan Moore; he has successfully passed his UEFA license and is now a UEFA qualified coach. This is a fantastic achievement as he has managed this at the first time of asking. Jordan used the senior lads to practice some of the sessions that he demonstrated on his assessment for his final exam which took place in York over the weekend 28/29 April.
No league game for our12’s instead a trip to the Easter football festival at Craig Tara Holiday Park north of the border in Ayr. The squad was split into two teams (Sporting & Deportivo ) which competed in the mini soccer format of 7 aside. Eighteen teams from as far away as the Stranocum, Grangemouth and Fife along with sides from Northern Ireland were split into two divisions. The Hexham sides played well and between the two teams they managed to win seven and draw two of their sixteen games. It costs a lot to go to these festivals but everyone played their part in finding funds to be able compete and the squad raised £2,000 to help with the costs, a great effort. Players and especially parents and coaches all behaved well and had a great weekend
Just to keep everyone informed, at the last meeting of the club committee it was agreed that the new under21 Northumberland football league would be vital to the progression of the club. We will be entering a team with an initial squad from this year’s u17 and some older players whose teams have disbanded. Any new players are also very welcome the only restriction is they must be under 21 at the start of the 2012-13 season. We are approaching some coaches to run the side and once this is confirmed contact details will appear here. The plan is to run a couple of training sessions before the end of the current season have a short break in June then back for pre season in July
