Hexham Juniors F.C was formed in 2002. It was created from the amalgamation of the two junior sides in the town. The Bears and the Tigers had been competing against each other for many years. Some years the Bears had the better team and other years the Tigers were the leaders of the pack. So a meeting was called between the two committees at the Old Tannery and after a short meeting it was agreed that on the 1st July 2002 the Tigers and the Bears would be no more and Hexham Juniors was formed.

The Club colours would be Green and White hoops, green and white shorts and socks. These were the colours of the now extinct Hexham Hearts who were one of the top senior clubs in the years after the Second World War

We would play in the Tynedale and Coast Colts League from season 2002 / 03 with five teams. In a short space of time we now have ten boy’s teams and two girls and we now also compete in the NABC and the newly formed Northumberland Girls League.

We have a tremendous team of officials and coaches who all give up there valuable time and effort to work with the teams and promote the Club. At the last presentation night we had over 160 kids who all received recognition for there efforts over the previous season.

Our aims for the next few seasons is to continue to promote youth football in the Hexham and Tyne Valley area and hopefully bring the girls up to the same number of teams as the boys have. Keep up the progress the boys have shown and to progress to a senior team.

We have had some fantastic help from local and national business people with some very generous sponsorship, which in the next few weeks we hope to have a page on the site to thank them all.

Also Leisure Tynedale and Tynedale Council have been very supportive which without there help it would have taken a lot longer to get where we are today.

The next few years will be an exciting time for us all with an application about to be submitted to the Northumberland FA for the Club to award the Charter Standard development club.

We are always looking to improve the club so if any one has any ideas to move us forward we are always ready to listen. It could be admin, coaching, sponsorship or any help of any kind. Please contact the secretary, phone or email can be found on the contacts page

This is a new site so please look back from time to time as with the Club it will grow and grow with photos, honours, sponsors, news /what’s on with lots more to come

We are currently creating content for this section. In order to be able to keep up with our high standards of service, we need a little more time. Please stop by again. Thank you for your interest!
